Project Overview

The Australian Rural Health Education Network (ARHEN) was established in 2003 and is the national peak body for Australia’s 15 University Departments of Rural Health (UDRHs). ARHEN approached Decoy about refreshing and streamlining the process of accessing information on their website. Until now, the ARHEN website had been worked on by various agencies over time, the client wanted to overhaul the entire site to make it consistent and functional.

Website Design

The design for the ARHEN website was created through simplifying and modernising the existing website. The client had two desired outcomes - 1. Make the website feel modern, fresh and clean and 2. Make the website more simple to use and update. To achieve these outcomes we started by revising the website hierarchy. We reduced the amount of pages and combined a lot of the content to make the website much more simple and user-friendly. There was a number of duplicate pages or pages with thin content that didn’t require their own page. We then redesigned the site with a new look and feel that remained consistent with the overall branding style. More white space, less dark green, new images and the latest web development features.
